Sigilyph hovered close. It was almost suffocating. Still, she couldn't blame her pokemon for feeling a little anxious with the ramping conflict. Things were going to boil over any day, and she was yet to receive her orders. She just had to be available all the time for the effort. It was a pleasure, then, to get a few hours away to sit in the safari. There could be powerful pokemon inside, which would support the effort just as much as the hunt for them would support her need to distract herself.

The tension reached a boiling point. [break][break]

Ameena felt the moment shift just before it did, the miniscule change in air, her hairs standing up, her sixth sense screaming danger. She dipped towards the ground and narrowly avoided the night slash. Sigilyph cried out in anger and surprise. Then, it launched gravity on the creature, grounding it. It didn't mind the ground, that much was clear, but Sigilyph exerted an inhumane pressure on it. Gligar was forced to the ground until it cracked beneath it. Then, Ameena launched a pokeball, the condensed pokemon in a poor position to fight it.

The Baltoy was an unwelcome surprise. Thankfully, Sigilyph had sensed its psychic presence before it could get too close. Sigilyph held it with gravity, pressing it hard into the ground like the Gligar. "Easy work," Ameena complimented. Her Sigilyph was a good stand-in when she didn't have Magearna with her. Ameena readied a pokeball. "This could be a Claydol before long." It would be just like Montgomery's. A thread of similarity between them, though she wasn't sure he would appreciate it.

"Kill it," she instructed as she stepped past the water type. Her phone was pinging her about some update in the lab. She had but a few minutes before she needed to take her leave. Sigilyph used air slash to knock the Horsea in the distance. "We need to be quick." Sigilyph hovered close.

She had been so focused on leaving that she hadn't noticed it. [break][break]

Sigilyph dropped a reflect only moments before the explosion went off. The psychic screen blocked the debris and much of the force of it. Ameena could sense from Sigilyph that this wasn't a planned attack or an ambush. As the dust cleared, it was obvious that the Minior on the ground had just been trying to defend its territory. She had no pokemon like it, and it looked far too interesting to pass up. Ameena plucked it from the ground, a new addition to her collection.

The sleeping, mold-colored Trapinch was easy to walk past. She had little interest in such a weak pokemon. They transformed into something decent, but she had little time for raising something. It might be worth something on the black market, but there were more valuable pokemon in the safari. She hoped to see a Popplio. Those had a better value on the market because they were such natural performing pokemon.

As she reached the exit, a misty terrain filled the area. She spared a glance at Sigilyph. It spoke volumes. Her pokemon went off to find the pokemon behind it. Ameena examined her nails as she waited. In about a minute, her companion returned with a knocked-out Popplio. She wasn't sure what use to make of it quite yet, but if nothing else, the performance capacity of the Popplio could be useful if there was a lucrative contest in the future.
